10 Best Pokemon ROM Hacks Where You Play as the Villain/Bad Guy
10. Pokemon Korosu
If you are an anime fan, the name alone hints that Pokemon Korosu is not a typical ROM hack. Korosu means “to kill” in Japanese, which fits its Kill Bill-inspired revenge story.
You play as a young woman whose family was murdered by a mafia-style organization that later kidnapped and enslaved her. After escaping, she begins hunting down the people responsible.
The hack is a standalone sequel to Pokemon Outlaw and takes place across darker versions of the Sevii Islands and Kanto, both heavily affected by criminal groups.
It also includes the physical and special split, indoor running, improved repel mechanics, easier trade evolutions, and a 64 Trainer tournament instead of the Elite Four.
I am not usually drawn to violent or grim games, but Pokemon Korosu is popular enough to deserve a spot here.

7. Pokemon Mega Power
When humans try to imitate Arceus and create their own overpowered Pokemon, things rarely end well.

3. Dark Rising: Order Destroyed
We usually experience Pokemon stories from the hero’s perspective, so Dark Rising: Order Destroyed Reborn immediately feels different by placing us in the role of the former protagonist’s rival.
Instead of wearing the hero’s hat again, you become an antihero investigating why the world still feels wrong after Darugis was defeated.
