Human-Tested Cheats — No AI-Generated Codes

Every cheat code on this page is tested by hand on a real emulator before it goes live, and we add a screenshot of each cheat working in-game as proof. We do not auto-generate, scrape, or publish unverified codes. If a code is listed here, a person confirmed it works.

Last updated: July 1, 2026
Tested by: Kimjun and Jeiboy
Emulators used: VBA, MyBoy, mGBA and Delta for iOS.
Version: Pokemon Amethyst v1.2.0

Latest update: Added newly tested cheat codes for Rare candy in PC and PokeMart. Each new code was verified on emulator against the exact ROM hack and version listed before publishing. Also, added some information on cheats that don’t currently work in our testing and a FAQ section. Found a code that doesn’t work? Report it in the comment section below and we will re-test it.

Community Shared Cheats

Got a working cheat? Share it! These Pokemon Amethyst cheats come from the PokeCoders community — readers who actually play the game and share the codes that worked for them. This is real first-hand experience. We credit every cheat to the reader or community who sent it, so you always know the source.

We check community submissions where we can reproduce them, but because Amethyst updates can change how a code behaves, results can vary between versions. If a code doesn’t work, tell us and we’ll re-check it.

Wild Pokemon Modifier (Shared by Germany communities)

Works in Amethyst [probably identical in Radical Red – For Gen 1 to 8. (does Hisuian forms included in Amethyst?) (?)]

For example, 8202404C 0261 summons Maractus (in wild and trainer battles)

How to Use the Game Modifier Terminal – Adding Your Password

Pokemon Amethyst has a built-in QoL feature called the Game Modifier Terminal. This lets you toggle settings that modify your experience, from randomizers to instant Friendship.

The Game Modifier Terminal can be accessed through the PC in your room. However, these modifiers require certain achievements to be toggled on and off.

Fortunately, you can use passwords to bypass this and use the modifiers without any achievements.

Choose a modifier, and after entering the correct password, you will be able to use it freely.

Cheats That Don’t Currently Work

Not every cheat from FireRed carries over cleanly to Pokemon Amethyst. Here are the popular cheats we’ve tested that aren’t working, so you don’t waste time troubleshooting on your end. If you’ve found a workaround or a code that gets these functioning, drop it in the comments below — we’ll test it out and credit you.

  • Walk through walls – We tested this on mGBA, VBA-M, and Delta for iOS, and all three froze the game and forced a restart.
  • No Random Battles – Adding the cheat won’t have any effect.

How PokeCoders Team Verifies These Pokemon Amethyst Cheats

Every Pokemon Amethyst cheat on this page is tested by hand before it is published – including the codes our readers send in. Pokemon Amethyst is a Game Boy Advance (GBA) ROM hack built on Pokemon FireRed, so its codes use the Action Replay/GameShark and Code Breaker format, and some cheats, like Max Money and Infinite Exp, only work once you turn on their Master Code first.

We test each code on a GBA emulator (mGBA, VBA, Delta for iOS, or My Boy!) and confirm the effect in-game on the current version of Amethyst, because a code that runs in FireRed or an older build of the hack can fail after an update. When a reader shares a cheat, we verify it the same way and credit the person who sent it once it passes.

Our cheat tester Kimjun keeps a private test log of every verified Amethyst code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why won’t my Pokemon Amethyst cheat work?

Most cheats fail for four possible reasons: the wrong game version, added the cheat in wrong cheat type, a missing Master Code, or an emulator that handles cheats poorly. Match the code to your exact ROM hack and version, if your emulator supports auto cheat type detection – use that instead, Turn on any required Master Code first, and use a cheat-friendly emulator like mGBA, My Boy!, or Delta for iOS.

Can I turn on too many Pokemon cheats at once?

Yes. Stacking codes can work (Max Stats cheat in our experience) but not on all cheats and it’s not recommended. After activating one cheat, disable it immediately after using.

Activating multiple cheats at once can freeze the game or corrupt your save. Always keep a backup save before using any cheats.

What GBA Emulator works best for cheats?

For Android users, we recommend My Boy! we’ve been using this for many years. For iOS, use Delta for iOS, and for PC and Mac users, mGBA is the best choice. When adding cheats on Myboy or mGBA, use the auto cheat type detection feature.

Those are all our working Pokemon Amethyst cheats and passwords so far. All of our codes are tested and used in actual gameplay, so you can be confident that they are working as intended.

    • Hey Damian, welcome! Try this: Disable or remove the Shiny Pokemon cheat, then save your game normally and completely restart the emulator. Sometimes a cheat can remain active in the emulator’s memory even after you turn it off. Restarting the emulator should clear it. When you open the game again, make sure the Shiny cheat is disabled before continuing. Hope this fixes it for you!

    • Hey Martin, welcome here. Unfortunately, the walk through walls cheats I tested for Amethyst didn’t work — I tried two versions, on popular GBA emulators such as mGBA, VBA-M, Delta but froze the game and forced a restart. Since Amethyst shares a lot of its codebase with Radical Red, this is likely intentional. Rest assured we’ll keep an eye out in case a working version turns up. Thanks for your understanding

We don’t have the most accurate list of Wild Pokemon Modifier codes for this game at the moment, but we’ll surely update the list as soon as we receive new information or discover working codes ourselves. Thanks for your patience, and if you happen to find any working encounter codes, feel free to share them here with the community. 😊

          • Just to note, the codes shared by the user above will set the ID of the item in the first PC slot to the desired item ID, but leave the quantity at 0 which leads to an underflow bug when the item is withdrawn. To fix this, you need to also set the quantity, which is at the next address (aligned to 2 bytes). For example:

            820257C4 0013
            820257C6 03E7

This code would add 999 full restores to slot 1 of the PC.
