Update: Added Pokemon Nature Modifier Cheat

The most requested cheat has finally arrived! We are very excited to announce that we already have the codes you need to modify the nature of any Pokemon you find in the wild. Pokemon nature modifier cheat is handy to raise stronger and competitive Pokemon.

To use, enter and activate the code before entering a battle. The cheat works only for wild Pokemon, and unfortunately useless when choosing a starter Pokemon.

To make most of your Pokemon’s nature, you may need a Pokemon Nature Chart to guide you more when improving the stats of your Pokemon.

Note to GBA4iOS Users

A commenter with a nickname Problem Solver just posted some very useful information regarding fixes and other information you need to know if you are using GBA4iOS, read carefully.

Hey everybody, so this is just a brief introduction and solution to a variety of the glitches you may encounter while using the codes and how to fix them to enhance your gameplay.

If you are using GBA4IOS V2.1 or any other emulator that enables the codes to work (Please keep in mind that several versions of the emulators you are using such as Myboy, JohnGBA, or VBA emulator may be outdated versions so not all codes may register depending on what emulator you are using.

Also, versions of the games you have downloaded do not register all of the codes for them to work. It is recommended you use versions 1.0 squirrels version of fire red or US version. If you’re having difficulty with a code that won’t work, drop a comment, and I’ll help you out any way I can.)

1.) Pokémon Modifier and encounter code. (Only input the 2nd master code for GBA4IOS users then input the encounter code afterward if you input them in any other sequence they won’t work!!!) So when using this code, of course, you will be able to run into any Pokémon as long as you type in the code and encounter code correctly. While using this code sometimes the Pokémon you want to catch may result in 1 hit KO’ing your Pokémon.

To fix this error simply delete the code or disable it, go to a Pokémon center restore your Pokémon by talking to the person behind the counter and then enter a battle with any wild Pokémon the glitch should be gone if the problem persists still delete the code and reinput it again. If the Pokémon appear like a huge question mark with the name “??????” It means the encounter code is wrong, double check just to be safe.

Also, as a side note if the Pokémon you caught using this code when evolving stays on the message “…?” Simply release it from your PC and catch it again recommended you use the Experience code to get back to the level you were at.

2.) Infinite Exp code. Using this code sometimes causes your Pokémon to keep leveling up even after you’ve disabled the code from the menu. The reason this occurs is due to a slight error in the registering of the code after you used it.

For example, if you have the code enabled and you save the game, then return to it, later on, to play again even after you disabled the code. The game registers the code as still active resulting in endless level ups to fix this just delete the code wait for the level up of the Pokémon to finish and then save and restart your game and reinput the code all over again to stop the endless increase in level.

3.) Catching and stealing Pokémon from trainers. It is recommended you save before using this code so that if your game becomes corrupt or freezes, you have a point of save origin to refer back to. Now then this glitch typically occurs after you catch a trainers Pokémon watch the video that’s posted first to know how to use the code. Now, to solve this issue, unfortunately, there is no way to get around the bad eggs when you catch a trainers Pokémon.

If caught correctly, the bad egg will not show, but in case it does simply delete the code and then restart your game from your save point. Do not save the game if a bad egg appears or it will ruin your game completely. Definitely check your PC as well after you’ve caught the trainers Pokémon because sometimes the bad eggs may not show up in your Pokémon line up but maybe in the PC box for some odd reason.

4.) Pokémon level modifier. So there really isn’t a huge variety of problems with this code, but I recently ran into one which is that when using the code sometimes when you go back to edit the code lets say from Lv 30 to encounter a Pokémon at lv 60 it will keep showing Pokémon at Lv 30.

When you encounter that error, it’s because the game registered the code Lv 30 permanently simply delete the code and reinput it to encounter whatever Level of Pokémon you are searching for.

Got any other glitches that I didn’t cover on here? Drop a comment below, and I’ll help you out as much as I can. Good luck everyone, hope this answers some questions you all might be having or some issues you all may be experiencing.

My Boy free version users

Unfortunately, some cheats will not work for you, specifically those with multiple liner cheat codes. You need the paid version of the app for it to work fully.

Luckily, there’s a simple solution to this problem – You only need to enter those lines of codes as a separate cheat. I created a guide explaining all the details on how to do the trick, check How To Enable Multiple-Liner Cheat Codes on My Boy Free Version or watch this Youtube video to see the tutorial in action.

Update: The My Boy free version is no longer available in the Google play store. This means some information related to My Boy free version shared here may not anymore applicable.

The FireRed squirrels version or the FireRed V1.0 (U) is one of the most downloaded Pokemon game titles and the version that supports the listed cheat codes on this page.

However, we don’t share such file on this website, it is illegal to share rom files; it is called Piracy. Although you can see a lot of sites massively giving out these files, we strive to keep Pokemoncoders a legit resource as possible.

Conclusion

The team behind Pokemoncoders have tested the majority of these cheats and it perfectly works for Pokemon FireRed (US) Squirrels version or the FireRed V1.0. If you can’t make it to work, search and download for FireRed (US) Squirrels version.

Did I miss a cheat or you have a cheat code for Fire Red (any version) that you want to add to the list above? You can improve this list and help our fellow Pokemon gamers by merely submitting your working Fire Red GameShark codes, CodeBreaker or Action Replay cheats in the comment form below.

  1. Hey I did the 3 starters cheat, and the shiny pokemon cheat, one problem is that I got 3 shiny pokemon with no moves, any way I can change this or should I just try again? Also a question that I may come back and answer myself, when you do the shiny pokemon code, does it give you the 6 perfect IVs you would get for a shiny or no?

  3. For the Getting all 3 starters cheat it wont let me move to the other balls while I’m following the steps just wondering if it’s just non comparable or what don’t I know?

  4. Hey dude when I did the wild pokemon modifier cheat the thing did not work. The game said that the cheat was inapplicable to my version. Can you tell me how to stop it and let me do my cheat.

    • You can use the normal shiny pokemon cheat. Just make sure to enable the cheat before receiving the Pokemon and turn it off immediately once received.

  5. teleport is stuck when i used the teleport i disabled it after i was done with it but it still takes me to the same place as the teleport i even tried removing the cheat yet it still teleports me

    • Hi there Noah Hunter. After disabling the cheat, save progress and restart your emulator. That sometimes happens to some emulator.

    • Maybe you misunderstood the master code to gameshark code? Master code is a companion code to a cheat. Some cheats requires master code and some do not.

  6. Why does the wild pokemon modifier not work on me it says “the cheat may not be applicable to this game or this version of the game” it says

  7. When I turned on the Shiny Cheat for the safari zone, The 3 pokemon I had caught
(Chansey, Nidorino and Doduo), Turned into a Mightyena, Arbok and houndour. All were level 100 and were shiny. They all seemed to have items of some sort. When I tried to look at the summary, it was just a pink screen with some letters in random places. luckily, I was able to re-wind out of it.
    Why is this happening?

    • Hi GORA_123, unfortunately that’s expected when using cheats. Irregularities could happen as cheats are not fully supported in Pokemon games.

    • Hi, thanks for being here. Check your FireRed version, if it’s V1.1 then mostly it’ll not work. John GBA works with cheats too but we usually use MyBoy for cheats.

  8. i seem to be having trouble with wild encounter modifier with code breaker. im using VBA and putting in through code breaker. using the MC as well and when i want my Bulbasaur nada 🙁 (im using v1.0 not the v1.1)
