As one of the first two Pokemon games for the Nintendo 3DS, Pokemon X delivered lots of fresh and quality content that carried over to the latest entries in the franchise. These include the Mega Evolution, the Fairy type, and Trainer customization.
Pokemon X’s story revolves around a French-inspired region called Kalos, where a player receives a Pokemon from Professor Sycamore and, together with three other Trainers, explores all the wonders of Kalos and uncovers the real motives of a mysterious organization that wants to create a “new world.”
Regardless if it’s your first or second playthrough, playing Pokemon X with cheats brings a new flavor of fun and excitement, especially if you’re not a fan of grinding levels or money. With the right cheat code, you can become the Champion of Kalos in no time while watching your opponent helplessly fall.
But before we sound like a supervillain, here is our compilation of Pokemon X cheats that you can use on a 3DS emulator, especially Citra.

Read This First
Using cheats on 3DS emulators is a bit more complicated than cheating in older games, especially those playable on GBA and GBC emulators. Here, every 3DS game has one or two versions of ROM, and a cheat code for a specific game may only work on a specific ROM version.
Hence, to make things more organized, we decided to make a separate page for anyone who only looks for a compilation of Pokemon X cheats. If you’re looking for an exclusive cheat compilation for Pokemon Y, we made a page for that as well.

Never Used Cheats Before?
While 3DS cheats are complicated in the sense that they only work for a specific ROM version, applying them on your emulator is a rather simple process. We tested these cheats on Citra, but they may also work on other emulators like Azahar.
Still, when using emulators other than Citra, please back up your save files first so you can retrieve your current game progress in case the codes corrupt your original save file.
Anyway, here’s our complete tutorial for using cheats on Citra. As long as your emulator is based on Citra, it should have a similar interface where you can implement the same process explained by the tutorial.

Instructions:
“With the appropriate code below, go to Route 02, then press Start + L. The quantity of the first item in your Items pocket will be changed to 721, and the quantity of the second item in the same pocket will be changed to 100.
Throw away enough of the first item to match the national pokedex number of the pokemon you want to catch. Throw away enough of the second item to match the level you want to catch that pokemon at.
Now press Start + R. Now all the wild pokemon in the route will be the species you want to catch at the level you chose.
The code will continue to work until you leave Route 2, at which point you’ll need to do this again (or at least press Start + R if the item quantities of the first 2 items hasn’t changed yet)
Do NOT use these codes with any codes that modify item quantities, as those codes will overwrite the quantities being used to generate wild pokemon.”

Just a quick note: if you used a cheat for the 1.0 version of the game, and you want a cheat that only works for 1.5, disable the 1.0 cheat first and then update the game to avoid crashing your emulator.

TM/HM doesn’t work on Citra gives all the TMs but locks out all the HMs even when given the HM through the story it doesn’t pop up on the TM/HM menu… is there a solution?

Do the tricks only work for PC or for mobile too?
As long as you’re using Citra emulator, it should work regardless of what platform you’re on.
Now that I was able to get the specific item I want. Is there a code to remove all of the items so I can get back to playing it notmally? Hahaha
From what I know there’s no going back once you save your progress. Try deactivating the cheat and see if it works.
Hi i’m using manic emu on my ipad as the emulator. The cheats above doesn’t seem to work for me, even tho idk what version i’m playing I tested the cheats that have 1 and 1.5 still nothing. Maybe someone knows what’s going on or what went wrong pls, tysm in advance ^^

Which Wild Pokemon modifier? You mean the ones with the legendary and mythicals? There are multiple possibilities as to why this happen. Are you sure you followed all the instructions I wrote?
I made a mistake in the description. I replied the to message where I put in the cheat with the correction, but I don’t think you saw it. The code activates with Select + L and Select + R. My mistake was that I put Start instead of Select. If you could update the description with the correct hotkeys, I would appreciate it.

Hi KidBuu, are you using version 1.0? Also, when pressing the required button, make sure that your bag is closed. You should activate it when you see your character and the effect should be there once you open your bag.

At the same time. Hold Select and press L to change your item quantities. Hold Select and press R to change the wild pokemon.
Regarding it not working on Eternal X, I haven’t tested this on any ROM hacks, so I can’t really say what will or won’t work. This was only tested for the base games of Pokemon X and Y.
