Kanto Gym Leaders – Information & Battling Guide

Kanto is the very first Region introduced in the Pokemon series. Naturally, the Kanto Gym Leaders are there to test your might. On top of that, here’s an interesting fact to share: They are not called the Kanto League but rather, the Indigo League. However, most people refer to them as the Kanto Gym Leaders because that’s where they appear.

Featured Videos

There are two iterations of the Leaders. The first one is the original eight leaders, and in the Gen 2 sequel games, some of the Gym Leaders have been replaced. Don’t worry because we will provide all the necessary information when it comes to these Gym Leaders. We’ll tell you their teams for the games that they appear in as Leaders and every other bit of information.

In Closing

That was definitely a ton of information when it comes to the Kanto Gym Leaders. They have a different Pokemon lineup in the remakes and in the sequels that they appear in. We didn’t include their other appearances because the point is to give out the list during their tenure as Gym Leaders.

Keep in mind that in the original Gen 1 games, they had very different mechanics. In the later games, newer types and moves have been introduced. That’s why you can always check the game’s information that you’re going to play because it is different per game.
