Welcome to PokeCoder’s Wild Pokemon Modifier Code (WPMC) Generator! This page features an integrated tool specially designed by our team to help our users get the exact wild Pokemon modifier code that they need when playing the mainline Pokemon games, from Generation 3 to Generation 5.
Wild Pokemon Modifiers are cheat codes that alter the species of Pokemon you encounter in the wild. If you want to speed up your progress in a Pokemon game, these cheats can help you build a powerful Pokemon team.
We understand the difficulty our readers experience when browsing through our massive catalog of cheats, so the tool below will help generate a working modifier code based on your selected Pokemon game, emulator, and Pokemon species.
Note: This online tool is currently in development, but rest assured that all the codes it generates have been verified and tested by our team. We are still testing more cheats so that it can cover more games in the future.
How to Use the Wild Pokemon Modifier Code Generator
Our tool only requires you to provide a little information before it can generate a code. Here’s how to use it:
- Step 1: Select a game.
- Step 2: Select the emulator you’re playing.
- Step 3: Search for a specific Pokemon that you want to encounter in the wild.
- Step 4: Click on “Get Cheat Code.”
After clicking on the Get Cheat Code button, you will instantly see the cheat formats available for your chosen Pokemon (GameShark, Action Replay, and CodeBreaker).
Feel free to choose one from any of them, and if the code won’t work, you can try switching to another cheat format.
Under the code sources, you will see the actual set of codes generated by the tool. You can either copy them line by line or click on the “Copy All Codes” at the bottom so you can just input the entire code on your emulator.
Don’t forget to read the “How to Enter this Code” section in the tool’s result interface if it’s your first time using these cheats.
Once you successfully activate a Wild Pokemon Modifier code, go back to your game and walk to any nearby grassy area, and once you trigger an encounter, your chosen Pokemon should appear.

About the Codes in the WPMC Generator
Every code provided by our tool has been reviewed and tested by the PokeCoders team.
Our priority is to help you prevent scenarios where you’ll end up with a code you found randomly online, only to discover that it’s a fake one that crashes your game or corrupts your save file.
This tool doesn’t actually work in a way that it automatically generates a new code. Instead, what it does is it personalizes a base code by adding the hex equivalent of your selected Pokemon.
This way, you don’t have to edit codes manually or search through long lists of Wild Pokemon Modifier codes across our various cheat guides.
Troubleshooting Tips
If a code doesn’t work, try doing the following first. Since we already tested all of the codes from the tool, there’s a good chance your issue comes from a different source:
- Check if you’re using the correct game version. Games like Pokemon FireRed are playable in multiple versions, which require specific codes even if you’re playing the same game.
- Make sure that you entered the Master code first. Enter the game’s specific master code, then put the generated modifier code. Most emulators require this order.
- Try disabling the other active codes in your emulator. Conflicts between multiple active codes are one of the most common reasons a working code appears to do nothing.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Does this work on physical Game Boys or DS systems?
Yes, although unlike emulators, where you can simply enter the code in their built-in cheat settings, you’ll need to use a tangible cheat device such as a GameShark cartridge for an actual GBA or an Action Replay cartridge for an NDS console.
Can I use the wild modifier with other cheats active at the same time?
Yes, but with caution. The wild modifier is compatible with most other cheats in normal use.
The codes most likely to conflict are other encounter-modifying cheats, repel-related codes, and any code that also modifies memory in the same address range.
If you experience issues, isolate the wild modifier code first to confirm it works on its own, then add other cheats back one at a time.
Will this work on ROM hacks?
It depends on the ROM hack. If a ROM hack is based on, for let’s say, Pokemon FireRed, there’s a chance that codes for Pokemon FireRed might work.
The results may vary, since some ROM hacks apply heavy alterations to their base ROM, especially in terms of how the wild encounters are programmed.
The Pokemon I want is not in the list. Why?
It’s likely because your chosen Pokemon was introduced in a later generation or your game simply doesn’t have that particular Pokemon.
Our tool only covers Generations 3-5, so don’t expect our tool to generate a code for Pokemon like Tapu Koko or Zeraora, at least for now.
