Generation II takes place in the Johto Region. The sequels provided a great area for the new games at the time which were Gold and Silver followed by Crystal. The remakes were Heart Gold and Soul Silver which means that the Johto Gym Leaders make an appearance in both. These used to be the next batch of Leaders that players had to tackle.
This guide aims to give you a better idea of what to expect from these gym leaders of Johto. The data will include their Pokemon lineup, specialties, rewards, and every important detail. Even if these games are somewhat old, people still play them and this guide is perfect when you’re having a hard time with these leaders.

In Closing
The Johto Gym Leaders picked up the pace after the first games. They did have some changes when it comes to the remakes but that’s just normal. The Gen 2 games didn’t have the concept of abilities yet but that’s where the addition of new types and updated stats are very important.
Their lineup may have been the same but the updates are something that you have to watch out for. The other thing is that updated Physical and Special split present in Gen 4 so it gives you an idea what to expect from these Leaders when you finally encounter them in the game.
