For Those Who Have Never Used Cheats Before
The Pokemon Y cheat codes that we are about to share can be used on 3DS emulators, such as Citra and Azahar. However, keep in mind that we only tested them on 3DS, so take caution when trying them on other emulators like Azahar.

I feel like any of the cheats that require extra input dont work, im trying to encounter zekrom by holding w and right or L and Right from the controls in citra and the extra inputs given but i cant find him, is it supposed to be on the first encounter or do i gotta try multiple times (im on 1.0, citra, pc)

Hi Gab, there are lots of possible reasons for that issue. What emulator are you using, and what ROM version do you have?

Hi Kv, Manic emu doesn’t work with any of our cheats, since the codes we have are based on Citra.

It does actually work, I’ve been using manic emu and all of cheats work for the games but this game specifically is giving me issues
The 100% catch rate works fine on v1.5 I tested it. Might want update it to mention this now.

i used the TM/HM code but it appears that it doesn’t show all of the HM, all i get is the TM’s 1 to 92

The all TMs cheat works in Pokemon Y but it didn’t include TM Dark pulse
I’m trying to use the shiny rate cheat and I cant seem to get it to work. I tested other cheats and was able to get them to work, but I can’t get any of the shiny cheats to work. I’m imputing the code “0014F740 E3A00D8B” for a ~90% shiny.
Hi Ryx, where did you get the 90% Shiny rate? The highest shiny rate modifier code we have is 88.61%. Also it only works for Pokemon Y version 1.5, not 1.0. Did you upgrade your ROM version?

Hi, uhmm depends on what input device you’re using. It should be easy if you have an Xbox controller. But for keyboard, look for your emulator’s configuration settings. You can also set it to any button you want there.

Again, doesn’t seem to work.
Looking at this code, I can tell you now that the first line doesn’t do anything in this context. It’s clearing the offset used for pointer operations, but when codes start, that offset is already cleared. Clearing it when it’s already cleared does nothing useful.
The code sets a default value in a certain area of memory, then changes that value when pressing Start. DD000000 00000008 activates when pressing Start. You can tell because DD is the instruction for checking to see if you’re pressing something, and 0x8 is the check for the Start button.
I’ve checked this code in X and Y, both 1.0 and 1.5 versions. It doesn’t work for any of them. I don’t know the area of memory it’s working in, so I don’t have a way to fix it.
The catch cheat doesn’t appear to work. I have it on, in Citra, but pokemon still escape. The 1.0 shiny rate works, but not the catch. Is there a button or something that I need to press?
Hi Cameron, you must be missing something. I just tested the cheat myself together with the Legendary codes, and captured a full-health Lugia, Entei, and a Raikou with just Poke Balls. Did you checked the box beside the cheat after selecting apply?
How did u get the legendary cheats to work
The code works on Route 02, but the the Gen 6 games always give guaranteed catches on the first route you find pokemon in, so Route 02 in Kalos and Route 201 in Hoenn. The 100% catch cheat isn’t needed. The best way to test that code is to use it on other areas of the game.
After testing in on Pokemon Y, v1.0, at Route 22, east of Santalune City, I found the code doesn’t work. I attempted to catch a Psyduck, the ball shook twice, and the Psyduck escaped.
My conclusion is the fact that pokemon catches are always guaranteed on Route 02 likely fooled you into thinking this code works because you were catching Legendaries guaranteed, when in fact the guaranteed catches only worked because of the route you were on.

The wall hack doesn’t seem to work… Actually, NONE of these seem to work. With the wall hack, I AM pressing R, and it doesn’t do anything. I am HOLDING R, and it doesn’t do anything… I’m fairly sure I have the correct version of the game AND cheats…
Hi Andrew, you must be doing something wrong. Do you click apply and checking the box when pasting the cheat? Or are you using a different emulator other than Citra? I just gave some screenshots to show how some of our cheats worked.
You have to turn it on then go back to the game go back to cheats again then turn off then go back then go back to cheats AGAIN to turn it on
its the same for me the wall hack doesn’t work and none of the cheats work even though I’m pressing or holding the required button. I click apply and checking the box when pasting the cheat.im on the correct version of game for the cheats.
