Pokemon Infinite Fusion Hidden Forest Walkthrough

The map in Pokemon Infinite Fusion is pretty much the Kanto region, considering that the story is based on the Gen 1 games.

While all of the locations remained the same, this game has added other locations as well, such as the Hidden Forest.

This forest is available in the game, but it is a bit tricky for you to get access to it.

Never fear, because everything you need to know will be divulged through our Pokemon Infinite Fusion Hidden Forest short but spot-on walkthrough.

The Hidden Forest is a secret location that is present in Pokemon Infinite Fusion. In the earlier or previous versions of Pokemon Infinite Fusion, it was called the Secret Forest.

There are two entrances to the Hidden Forest: on Route 2 and Route 16.

Route 2 Entrance

In the image above, you can see the entrance to the Hidden Forest when you access it via Route 2. Unfortunately, you cannot get to it right away because you need Cut first.

Even if you already have Cut, you will need Rock Climb because a ledge will block your path when you’re inside.

In the older versions, you could access it right away. They changed that, so you need Rock Climb now, and you can only get this move (HM10) after you have all 16 Badges.

Your best bet is to enter through the other entrance.

Route 16 Entrance

The image above shows you where the entrance is on Route 16. It is through the west exit of Celadon City. This means that you need to have progressed through this part of the game first.

You also need to beat Erika, the Gym Leader of Celadon City, as well.

The two HMs you need are Cut and Surf. Cut is needed because there will be a plant blocking your way through the path that leads to the entrance.

The Surf move will come into play when you want to explore deeper into the Hidden Forest.

What Can You Do Inside the Hidden Forest?

When you get inside the Hidden Forest, there’s not much to do here other than get items and encounter some Pokemon.

You can see that if you enter through Route 16 and head west, you’ll jump off the ledge leading up to Route 2. Don’t jump if you don’t have Rock Climb, because you’ll be flying back to the Route 16 entrance.

Listed below are the items that you can get, and they are good:

  • Super Potion
  • Rare Candy x2
  • Nugget x3

The Pokemon encounters you get here are also nothing special. They’re pretty much the same ones you get in Viridian Forest.

The real prize here is that the Hidden Forest connects to the Viridian River.

You can enter the Viridian River through the entrance shown in the image above.

This is a different area and is probably where you want to go after finishing up in the Hidden Forest. It is important that you have Surf in this section.

This area is where you encounter Starter Pokemon that you can catch. However, they do not appear as tall grass encounters.

You can see a Charmander and Mudkip on the field to encounter.

You will see the Pokemon on the map walking around, so talk to it and encounter it. This is also where you can encounter Mew, but the chances are very low. Other than that, there’s nothing else you can do here.

FAQs

Do I have to rush getting into the Hidden Forest?

Not necessarily, since there’s nothing too important to do or get here. Unless your goal is to get those Starter Pokemon in Viridian River, then feel free to do so.

Just remember that you do need Surf, so that takes longer than just getting access to the Hidden Forest.

What is the tile encounter glitch in the Viridian River?

Whether it’s a glitch or not, the concept is that if you enter the Viridian River through the Hidden Forest, you’ll need to enter a specific tile.

Entering through the top tile will make you encounter all Starter Pokemon from Gen 7, while the bottom tile will make you encounter the Starter Pokemon from other generations, except Gen 7.

In Closing

We hope this Pokemon Infinite Fusion Hidden Forest walkthrough helped you. It takes time to access the Hidden Forest.

You have to progress a bit in the story and get Cut or Shears, if you prefer it that way. The prize is getting access to Viridian Forest for those sweet Starter Pokemon and a chance to get Mew as well.

It is hard to get Mew, but if you have time to spare, then that shouldn’t be a problem for you.
