Once you reach the part where she wants you to make a frying pan, talk to Professor Tangrowth and then to Machoke. Machoke will take you to an old mining area where you must use the powered-up version of Cut (acquired by eating bread) to get rid of the steel fences and head deeper into the mines.

Step 3: Collect Any Type of Sandy Block (i.e., Volcanic Ash or Beach Sand)
Glass is made by burning sandy blocks, making it the only ingredient needed to produce it in the game. You can use Beach Sand from the Bleak Beach region, but the better option is Volcanic Ash, since it can be gathered in large quantities around Rocky Ridges.
Apart from Volcanic Ash and Beach Sand, below are the other sandy blocks that you can use to make glass in Pokemon Pokopia:

It’s important not to relocate Magmar too far from the furnace, as this will allow you to keep using it without needing to bring a Fire-type Pokemon with you each time. You can still build a house for Magmar but make sure it’s only a short distance from the furnace.
