What Is Remix Mode in Pokemon Infinite Fusion?
Let’s get the easy and fast explanation of what Remix Mode is. It is one of the many modes included in Pokemon Infinite Fusion.

When you first start the game, you have an option to choose from three modes. These would be Classic mode, which is the normal and unchanged mode. Then, there’s Randomized mode, which randomizes everything.
Choosing Remix mode can be done at the beginning. Remix Mode adds or changes a lot of the things in the game. The story and item locations are the same. You cannot change from Remix to Classic mode, so keep that in mind.
Listed below are those changes in Remix Mode:
Wild Pokemon Encounters
Wild Pokemon encounters will be different but fixed in each location. To give you an idea, take a look at the table below to see which Pokemon appear in Classic or Remix mode.
This is only for Route 1, but the point is that you’ll be encountering different Pokemon, although they will be the same for the location. This isn’t like Randomized mode, where all Pokemon will be randomly spawning in each location.

ROUTE 1 Encounter Sample for Classic and Remix
| Classic Mode Encounters | Remix Mode Encounters |
|---|---|
| Mime Jr. Pidgey Rattata Tangela Hoothoot | Azurill Bidoof Ditto Fletchling Hoothoot Sentret Shinx Smeargle |
If you observe properly, only Hoothoot appears for both modes. Everything else you encounter is different for each mode.
Trainers Will Have Different Pokemon

The trainers you encounter will also have their team lineup changed. If you’ve played the game through Classic mode, don’t expect them to have the same Pokemon in Remix Mode.
Gym Leaders and Elite Four Will Have Different Pokemon

This is the same with the trainers, but this one shifts the specialty of a Gym Leader. For example, Brock specializes in Rock-type Pokemon.
In Remix mode, he will shift to Steel-type as his specialty. This is the same for the other Gym Leaders and Elite Four members.
We will give you a list of what the changes are for the Gym Leaders and Elite Four from Classic to Remix Mode when it comes to their specialties.
Kanto Gym Leaders
| Gym Leader | Classic | Remix |
|---|---|---|
| Brock Misty Lt. Surge Erika Koga Sabrina Blaine Giovanni | Rock Water Electric Grass Poison Psychic Fire Ground | Ice Steel Fighting Bug Dark Fairy Psychic Normal |
Johto Gym Leaders
| Gym Leader | Classic | Remix |
|---|---|---|
| Whitney Kurt Falkner Claire Chuck Pryce Morty Jasmine | Normal Bug Flying Dragon Fighting Ice Ghost Steel | Fairy Grass Bug Dragon Ground Ghost Fire Electric |
Elite Four
| Elite Four Member | Classic | Remix |
|---|---|---|
| Lorelei Bruno Agatha Lance | Ice Fighting Ghost Dragon | Water Rock Poison Flying |
Why and When Should You Play Remix Mode?

Remix mode is available from the start, so you can play it even if it is your first time playing. That could be a good case to start with for Remix mode.
Playing the game for the first time would be fun, since you don’t know what to expect.
The game’s story does revolve around Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, and the remakes of FireRed and LeafGreen. Remix mode gives you a new feeling with an old game.
You don’t have to worry about navigating through the story, but more about dealing with the Pokemon in battle.
Playing Remix mode after playing the Classic mode is also another good way. Try to get a lay of the land by playing Classic mode first.
Randomized mode seems a bit crazy, so why not just go for the Remix version?
In Closing
Playing against trainers, Gym Leaders, and Elite Four members is what Remix mode in Pokemon Infinite Fusion is all about. It gives you a different flavor with the same dish.
Keep in mind as well that all of these enemy trainers will use fused Pokemon. You can still adjust the difficulty anyway, so you don’t have to worry about Remix mode being that hard or challenging.
As long as it gives you some level of fun, and you can save in a different save file, anyway.
