Magical Altering Gym Menagerie

The ROM hack that we will be discussing is called Magical Altering Gym Menagerie. We’ll call it MAGM for short and it utilizes FireRed as its base. This is an interesting hack since it doesn’t follow the usual Pokemon element about becoming a master Trainer and becoming a champion.

That is a very interesting concept much like this hack called Pokemblem.

Regardless, it is advised by the programmer to use the V1 or version 1 of FireRed ROM when you want to patch this hack. That being said, if you don’t know how to patch the file, here is a guide on how you can patch the MAGM IPS file with the right FireRed ROM.

Magical Altering Gym Menagerie Details and More

Story

The story is pretty much your character being pitted into the MAGM. It is sort of like a Battle Center where players can test their mettle and battle trainers to get 8 Pins. While the Pins are not required, players can battle against the Gym Leader and end the game.

Features

Based on the story, there isn’t an emphasis where you catch Pokemon and raise them. In fact, this is all about strategy and making sure to utilize the Pokemon that you have to win your battles.

You get a specific lineup of Pokemon in your party, and you can swap them out from the Pokemon in the PC. It is like the Battle Frontier from Emerald but a bit different.

The battles are tough and fun, which gives a certain layer of challenge. The Teleport pads also help spice up the gameplay mechanics.
