Pokemon Crown

There has been a multitude of ROM hacks over the years where they modify the base ROM to have some things altered. There are those that alter the story to something original, add new Pokemon, add Fakemon, and more. However, with Pokemon Crown, there is something vastly different, and it’s amazing.

The main difference is that Crown’s battle isn’t turn-based but something like an auto-battle feature. You can still catch and train Pokemon, albeit a bit differently.

It also has a lot of other features that will truly blow your mind if you want something different in the game. Note, the game isn’t finished but is playable, so there might be bugs.

Story

The story takes place during medieval times in the Region of Guelder. The story starts off like any basic RPG until it opens up to the Crown League. This is a series of battles on a grand tournament scale to see if you’re up to the challenge.

Features

The very first noticeable feature is that the combat is not your typical turn-based combat that Pokemon games are known for. It is an auto-battle feature where you put the Pokemon from your team to engage the enemy team.

Just start the battle, and the Pokemon will automatically fight each other on the grid map. It’s interesting, and fun and can really make you think about the composition of your team. There are also the added type advantages and a plethora of side quests you can do.
