Hi Maylo64, thanks for coming here. Unfortunately, OpenEmu is not so reliable when it comes to cheating. I suggest using Retroarch on your Mac if you’re going to use cheats.
When you’re playing a game, there is a floating black bar on the bottom. Select the “System Gear” icon ⚙ and then “Select Cheat”. Click “Add Cheat”. Give it a random name and then for the code, you put in whats above.
Except everytime there’s a new line, you add the plus symbol.
For example:
AAAA BBB
BBB AAA
becomes:
AAAA BBB+BBB AAA
Then u activate the cheat. Note that once you quit that game, the code will delete itself.

the x99 rare candies code will cause a glitch. it will give 999 rare candies and make all other items in the medicine pocket disappear and be unable to get any other items, like potions or vitamins.
Thanks for that information Joey. I agree and actually, cheats are often problematic and that’s one problem with the rare candy cheat. I suggest removing them after use, also be sure to save any progress before enabling any cheats.

there is actially look up a cheat.DAT file for your emulator. i use deasmu or something like that on my pc. in the cheat list on the bottom right os a button to open the file. if you have not put the downloaded cheat.DAT file in the right spot or havnt dont it yet it will give you an error stati g the file isnt in “such-in-such” location. place the file in that pocstion and press button again. it will poad file with every cheat available. click checkbox’s of all ones you want then press add. for heart of gold there is a nice few chests i cannot seem to find any other way. one being Random battles which lets the player catch any pokemon anywhere at what ever level the area is set to. nice for emulators where its hard to trade pokemon from one version to another or one is too lazy to set up two rmulators to do so anyway. there is just about ever play-as, exp boost, game-play enhancers, and so on. file seems to jave all cheats for all games i try and the pokemon games have a few hundred

Yes, it only works in trainer battles, but thats atleast good since you could one shot bug type trainers and youngsters with your starter.

Hey there, so I did the 99 rare candy cheat and now my bag is no longer showing anything in my medicine bag besides the candies. I have disabled the cheat and even deleted it, nothing changed. Is there a way for me to get back my normal medicine bag without having to create a new file?
Sadly everything on the medicine bag is lost when the cheat is used, but if you trash all the remaining Rare Candy, Save the game and Restart you can buy new items and they will appear… it’s not much but it’s something :/

I doubt it, HeartGold is DS while FireRed is GBA and they are obviously different, when it comes to HeartGold cheats, just make sure you have the US version.

Hi Kaneki, although cheats can work but it’s not fully supported in every Pokemon games, that’s why bugs happens most of the time. As an alternative to that, I suggest using the unlimited money cheat and buy only the pokeball that you need. Hope this method works.

Can you guys add a code that clears my inventory because i have invisible items there that i cant remove my self
