The story of Pokemon Unbound is set in the historic Borrius Region. Many years ago, Borrius region fought Kalos region in a critical battle. To defeat the Kalos region, Borrius region unleashed a dark force to help them fight, but unfortunately, Kalos summoned their ultimate weapon and ended up Borrius region in defeat.
The war is finally over, and the dark force is now sealed to avoid future damage. But, many years later, an organization called “The Shadows” planned to re-release the dark force for their personal interest.
You, as a Pokemon trainer with your Pokemon, have the skill to stop the “The Shadows” and save Borrius region from chaos. Begin your adventure today, play the game, and be a hero in the virtual world of Pokemon Unbound.
Game update: A new version of Pokemon Unbound has just been released and is now packed with new exciting features that you can’t think of.
Physical/Special split
This feature is originally introduced in Generation IV and never in generations I, II, and III. Physical/Special split plays an important role in creating good Pokemon movesets; attacks now make more sense.
Mega Evolution
The Mega evolution is the most exciting feature that everyone loves. Introduced in Generation VI, that enables a Pokemon to evolve in its mega form during a battle and become even more powerful temporarily. Good thing the feature is now supported in Pokemon Unbound using the usual Mega evolution process. It was a shocking improvement that the has now this very interesting feature.
X/Y Capture Experience
When catching a Pokemon, normally, a trainer won’t receive experience points, but this has changed with the release of Pokemon X/Y. In Pokemon Unbound, players can now gain experience after capturing a Pokemon as if they have defeated it in the battle.
All Pokemon from Generations 1-7
Pokemon Unbound enables players to have a chance to encounter Pokemon from newer generations, not only the usual Pokemon from Generations 3. Pokemon also have updated moves and abilities and include Fairy-type Pokemon.

When you patch make sure the file extension is actually .gba or rename patched file accordingly

seems lame af, not even gonna try to download. I hear you can’t use cheats in the game; but yet you can use cheats on the original games, like don’t have to be so uptight about making a game but so many better games out there like Quetzal

don’t know who told you cheats don’t work but they are wrong. the base game is fire red so you can use fire red cheats just the same. easy catch and infinite pp are my favs.
Howewww tried to get rare candy’s (as it’s the only cheat I used sometimes master balls) and they either don’t show up in my PC or it just messed up my game entirely

I am severely disappointed in the Mega Evolve in the game. I just got the ability to mega evolve, however, it doesn’t even give the mega stone I need to mega evolve. Like what is the absolute purpose of this. You are telling me I have to train to get the ability then wait another 5 areas before I can even get my starter to mega evolve? I checked the guide for the stone and it found in an area so far from where I am currently in at in game. This has got me so heated because I was excited to Mega evolve for more power like the game lead me just for me to work not use it… Like who thought this was a good idea at least give me the stone for the starter I understand not giving it to me for other pokemon but when I get an ability I should be able to use it when the game give it to me. Fair warning if you decide to mega evolve just know you will never mega evolve until much later that the game anticipated. This was a complete let down I don’t even want to use this feature anymore.

The game has all pokemon from gen 1 to gen 7, or so says the guide that you can download elsewhere. Pokemon that evolve through trading can be evolved by simply by using their trade evolution item on them similar to how you use a stone to evolve other Pokemon. The Pokemon that don’t use trade items to evolve, but are still traded to evolve in normal games—like Kadabra or Machoke—have an item called a Link Stone that they use to evolve. So, to answer your question, no. There is no gen 8 in this game, so you can’t get those, but 1–7 are in, including Alolan forms and such, and the game is entirely self-contained; meaning you can get every Pokemon in the game without needing to trade other people like the normal games. So says the guide you can download for the game. Google-search “Pokemon unbound documentation” and you’ll find it with ease. I hope I helped. :)

The game keeps restarting back to the title screen when I beat the first gym during the cutscene.
Perhaps you have enabled cheats and you forgot to disable it? Oftentimes cheating can using such issue.

Perhaps you used v1.1 FireRed rom during patching. Most rom hacks require V1.0 or the squirrels version of FireRed.

Which FireRed version you are using? As far as I know, most ROM hacks need FireRed v1.0 or Squirrels version to succeed in patching. If you’re using V1.1 then most likely it won’t patch.

I believe only .zip file is support for patching. Or better use the actual .GBA file. We have created a guide on How To Apply IPS Or UPS Patch to Play a ROM Hack and I’m sure you’ll find it useful.

We don’t share rom files, only patch files in ips/ups file formate. You have to patch it yourself with your FireRed rom.
How do I patch it? I can only find the .ups file, the 2 rom patchers, changelog and readme.txt
