We’re taking a look at this ROM hack called Pokemon Mega Blue. While Pokemon Blue is a Gen 1 game, this hack utilizes FireRed as its base.
The creator also created another ROM hack called Pokemon Delta Emerald, and according to him, both of these games are compatible with each other, whatever that means.
One of the hooks for this game is that the roster of Pokemon is big. It spans beyond Gen 3 with a collection of multiple forms and special evolutions available.
There are also a lot of added features in this game that you might enjoy. If you also love more FireRed-based ROM hacks, feel free to click here.

Pokemon Mega Blue Details and More
Story
The story is the same as FireRed and LeafGreen. This means that if you’ve already played those games, then you know where to go and what to do. The game, however, added a few new characters.
Features
The roster goes up to Gen 7 but not all Pokemon are available yet. Maybe they’ll add more in the later versions but that’s not a bad start.
They also added Mega Evolution forms to some Pokemon and the Fairy-type. The bag has also been expanded allowing you to carry more items, considering more types of items have been added as well.
The game has some added custom sprites to accommodate the changes and the addition of more Pokemon. A lot of other features will be listed below since there are a lot of them.
