There are a lot of good Pokemon ROM hacks out there but there are also a ton of comical and weird ones out there. That’s where Pokemon Fat Kid comes in because it is a ROM hack of Emerald with a lot of whimsical stuff in it. The title alone gives you the sense that this is going to be an interesting game to play.
You play a Fat Kid which has the NPC model of that fat person from the Gen 3 games. You have a lot of things to do and with your fat kid, you need to haul yourself. You get to explore the Cheeto Region trying to stop Team Hippy from doing villainous things.
Update: Unfortunately the author of Pokemon Fat Kid has stopped rom hacking. That means there’s no future update we can expect from this game.

Pokemon Fat Kid Details and More
The story is that you are a fat kid from the Hoenn Region who went to the Cheeto Region to indulge in the delicacies. Suddenly, the Pokemon Lab blows up and you go investigate it. You find the professor dying on the floor and he gives you the latest Porygon. You must now try and stop the Hippy Team from destroying all the technology in the Region.
You get an original story and all the basic Pokemon elements from the other games. It also introduces the Tech-type which is exclusive to the game. You also start off with a Porygon that can have six interchangeable evolutions. Basically, you can swap out forms when you have the chance so you’re not stuck with just one type of Porygon. There’s a lot of humor in the game although it doesn’t mean that you should take it lightly.
