We’ve tackled a lot of Pokemon ROM hacks that are based on Emerald. Why not tackle one more hack, we’re talking about is Pokemon Emerald Crest. It utilizes a lot of elements from Emerald from the story to the base features.

Story

The story is the same as Emerald, so if you know what to do and where to go, then you shouldn’t have a hard time.

Features

We’ll start with the biggest feature which is that the Pokemon roster goes up to Gen 8. That’s right, it goes beyond just Gen 3, and it also includes special Forms and Mega Evolutions. The special Forms include Alolan, Galarian, and even Hisuian, which just came out recently.

You would also notice that the graphics have a slight upgrade, and the game has a Gen 6 EXP Share System. A new questing mechanic and special bosses round up the features of this hack. There are other features added, which we’ll be putting on the list below.
