Pokemon Mind Crystal

Pokemon Crystal is one of the most beloved games in the series. However, it was never really remade for any system. It didn’t get the same love as other games, and it is also the first game to have a playable female character being Kris. That’s where ROM hackers come in with hacks like Pokemon Mind Crystal.

This DS ROM hack utilizes Soul Silver as its base ROM. You could say that this is like an attempt to remake Crystal for Gen 4. There are a lot of added features to it, and the game looks good.

Pokemon Mind Crystal is only available in French for now, but the important information is in English, so that’s pretty much alright.

Story

The story is an attempt to recreate Pokemon Crystal’s story. It’s the same, although some parts may have been slightly edited. Then again, when you think about it, other than minor changes, it is also the same for the Heart Gold and Soul Silver games.

Features

Let’s start first with some of the changes in the battle mechanics. One thing is that some moves have been fixed, or at least minimal glitches are happening. More Trainers have been added to the game with all the necessary changes. The Fairy-type is also added in the game as well as related things to the type such as the Pixie Plate item and visuals. Certain Moves and Abilities have also been added and updated up to Gen 6. You can even play as Kris in this hack.
