Pokemon Genesis

As far as Pokemon ROM hacks go, most hacks just reuse the story of the base ROM. There’s nothing wrong with that since adding features or altering some elements of the game is just fine.

Why don’t we tackle some ROM hacks, namely Pokemon Genesis, which has an interesting and original story.

The story is just one thing because Genesis has some interesting features to go along with it. Use FireRed as the base when you eventually patch the ROM with the link that we provided for the IPS file of the Genesis ROM available as of now.

Pokemon Genesis Details and More

Story

We hyped up the story a bit, so here we go. Your father just got promoted to being a lead scientist at a shady organization. It’s shady because the organization has been known to do a lot of charity work. Now, it is hit with some controversy and intrigue. Your father asks you to pick up a parcel from a nearby town, and this is where your adventure begins.

You meet your old friend who will give you a Pokemon that you can use. Now, you have to traverse the Serao Region and uncover the mystery of your father’s employer and everything else.

Features

In relation to the story, there is a feature that is based on your decisions. How big the impact is would vary, but your choices in the game will have an effect on how the story plays out and more.

You also get to explore the new Region of Serao and other Regions as well. Pokemon roster goes up to Gen 4, but not all are available.
