About 3,000 years ago in Galar, it took the combined efforts of Zacian and Zamazenta to defeat Eternatus and prevent it from absorbing the region’s energy.
This fateful event was known in history as the Darkest Day.
In Pokemon Sword and Shield, Eternatus became the final boss in the story after Chairman Rose tried using its power as a source of unlimited energy for Galar.
